Tenggol Island is one of the most beautiful island in east coast Terengganu. This Island is located at the most Southern of Terengganu Marine Park. This island has 3 resorts and its only connected to the mainland from Kuala Dungun jetty by boat. It is also popular island for divers as there are few nice site to be explore though some sites are only accessible by the expert divers.
Best Time to Visit
Between March and October. Take note that most resorts are closed during the North-east Monsoon, which blows from November to February.

By Boat to Temenggol Island
At Kuala Dungun jetty you can arrange a boat to Tenggol Island. Tenggol Island is located about 25km from the coast, so it is a 50-minute boat ride to reach your resort.
By Air
You can take direct flight depart from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu or Kuantan using Malaysia Airline or Air Asia. From the airport, take a public cab for city transfer to Dungun. Another option is a flight by Firefly from Subang Airport (nearer to KL compared to KLIA/LCCT) to the town of Kerteh. From Kerteh it is only a 20-minute drive by taxi to Kuala Dungun. This option saves a lot of time when you are traveling from Kuala Lumpur
By Car
From Kuala Lumpur, take the east bound highway to Kuantan and headed to highway 3 in the direction to Dungun, Kuala Terengganu (follow the signboard). If you come from Singapore, take the North-South Highway and exit at Yong Peng. Then, headed to Labis and Segamat and use highway 12 to Kuantan and use the coastal highway 3 to Dungun in direction Kuala Terengganu.
By Bus
Public transport in Malaysia work really well. There are many coaches from Kuala Lumpur, Sinagpore and Johor Bahru stop at Kuala Dungun.
