Overview
Jerejak Island is located in Bayan Lepas, off the south easter tip off Penang Island. This Island is situated in between Penang Main Island and Seberang Perai, surrounded by the water of South Channel. Those who go to Penang Island, can see the view of the island clearly. This island has gained the nickname as The Alcatraz of Malaysia because of the prison on the island. The island was known as a place for criminals, tuberculosis and leprosy patients back in the day. However, the island is now become popular for its unique flora and fauna as well as its rich history.

By Ferry
The easiest way to reach Pulau Jerejak is to take the Jerejak Resort ferry. It goes between the Penang Island Jerejak Jetty and the Jerejak Resort Jetty.
By Bus
There are many daily operates buses from all around Malaysia to Penang. If you are from Kuala Lumpur, take the bus that depart from Terminal Bandar Selatan or Jalan Duta.
By Car
If you are from the south such as Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, easily take the route using South-East Highway. People who come from Kota Bharu should use East-West Expressway through Gerik.
By Air
There are daily operates flight using Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia from many airports within Malaysia and Singapore to Penang. Once arrive in Penang, take the taxi to the jetty.
