Norway is a sovereign and unitary monarchy and a western portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula. The capital of the country is Oslo. Norway is famous for its numerous spectacular view, ranging from the glorious snowcapped mountain peak, the endless sunlight during summer solstice till the breathtaking northern lights. They are famous for its nickname “Land of the Midnight Sun”, the sun shines throughout day and night which usually happens around the summer solstice. On the northernmost inhabited region of Norway, there will be no sunset approximately from 19 April until 13 August. During Wintertime, travelers can experience the multicolor northern lights or the Aurora Borealis. The northern lights actually occur throughout the year but it was said that the northern lights are best viewed during wintertime. Colors such as red, yellow, green, blue and violet are also seen occasionally. The auroras can appear in many forms, from small patches of light that appear out of nowhere to streamers, arcs, rippling curtains or shooting rays that light up the sky with an incredible glow. Travelers can also visit the largest Alpine region in Norway, Jotenheimen that is home to grand waterfalls, lakes, lakes, glaciers and wildlife such as red fox, arctic fox, wolverine, lynx and reindeer population.
